oil warning light and buzzer

A&Q about 350Z
Q:

why does the oil light and buzzer keep sounding in my mates mk1 he has replaced both oil pressure switches one on the head and the other on the oil filter housing, hes now taken out one of the pressure swithes to fit a VDO oil pressure sender and gauge and the oil pressure is nice and high no low pressure at all yet the bloody light keeps flashing and that blody buzzer
Help please he is running out of hair
A:

Could be oil pick up inside sump, oil pump or cooler.
A:

broken or corroded wire?, they earth through the block, so any break in connection would open the circuit and send the buzzer off.
A:

what he said ^^ happened to me :)
A:

could also be the warning circuit, its the L shaped PCB clipped to the speedo.
A:

when you say getting good pressure, what kind of figures are you talking about here? What point in the rev range does it go off, and with throttle on or off? if it goes off around the 2k mark that might give a clue
A:

goes off from the minute you start the engine? its got a VDO 0-150 lbs/sq inch and it runs at 150 is this to much?
A:

goes off from the inute you start the engine?
that'll be the low pressure, or more accurately, idle pressure sender then as the other one goes off when you rev over 2K and don't achive the right pressure then.
nicked from:
'0.3 = the black sensor with blue wire, 1.8 = white sensor with yellow wire'
0.3 bar = low/idle pressure sensor
A:

ive got some new clocks to go in so we will give that a go is the oil pressure too high on the gauge?
