A&Q about 350Z
Q:
would this be a better alternative to a semi-synthetic 10w 40 ?
car is a heavy modded mk2 8valve.
A:
Can't see a problem, but 10w/40 semi is good for most states of tune on N/A engines. Millers is an excellent brand.

It`s what I intend using in my modified 9a post running in on Millers `running in` oil
A:
I wouldn't run it....... Apart from the fact that it'll sap power due to being a thicker oil to pump round, why do you think you need a 60 weight oil? Have you modified something that makes you think you need it?
A:
My engine is quite well modified - 9A in a Mk1 - has a low ratio gearset and will spend most of it`s life at near max revs in 1st and 2nd (hills & sprints) plus the odd trackday = hot, hence my choice of CFS 10W / 60
Millers dealer up here is very good with advice and discount; also use their octane booster - CVL turbo.
A:
currently running on MILLERS XSS 10w 40.
had a 2L bottom end put in with new rings , big / small ends.
ran some crappy oil for 250 miles , then been running the XSS 10w 40, and changing it every 500 miles.
now done 1250 miles , and am looking at continuing this oil , or changing .
recomendations ?????
A:
I'd stick with th 10w/40 XSS. I run my 16v ABF on 10w/40 semi-synthetic, and it gets used hard all the time. I change it every 3k with a fresh OEM filter.

If you`re still running it in it is the wrong choice as it`s synthetic ... which is not recommended. If not then change every 4 - 6k depending on usage
