Mk3 ABF 16 V idle Prob with Videos!

A&Q about 350Z
Q:

Hey all, im a newbie,
This just started today.
The car just won't idle at any temp of engine.
It does 2 things.
1). Start engine and it starts every time but pulses the idle RPM to just above stalling, then raises it to around 1300 RPM and then drops it again to around 700 RPM and continues like this.
But it will drive fine, except for when you take you foot off the throttle when it seems to jolt a little.
See this video (5 mb) to see whats happening. I am not touching the throttle at all, just twisted the key to start it.
2). Once you get the revs up after sympton 1). by pressing the throttle, it will rev fine but when you let off the throttle it starts idleing at around 1200 RPM and slowely rises to 2000 ish RPM and then drops to 1800 and then rises to 2000 and cycles like this from then on.
See this video for what I mean, again I am not touching the throttle:
I replaced the ECU relay 3 months ago due to a misfire issue so that is now brand new, idea's what could be causing this??????
All help greatfully received.

Can't watch the vids at the mo cos the computers ****e, but could be either the ISV (idle stabillisation valve) has gone or your lambda probe in the exhaust could be playing up
Sorry if this doesn't help

Hi
Clean the isv out

mine does something like that, but no where near as much as yours.
have you checked that all your vac hoses are ok? the ecu water temp sensor ok?

Indeed, once i had some daylight I could see a dodgy hose heading up toward the the bulkhead (ECU?) area, fixed and all is OK now.
Thanks for the help!

well worth replacing the entire hose IMO and add fuel line clips to secure them.
on the back of the manifold, there is a larger hose going to the brake servo. i wonder how easy it is to check that the brake servo is not leaking air too.
anyone know the inner workings of the servo that well?

Did you shoot The Blair Witch Project?

it sounds like one of the sensors on the throttle body.. check the 3pin one..
get the car on vag-com, try cleaning isv and make sure no air leaks...
