Doing the 1.8T mk1 conversion and have come to the alternator belt, is there a VAG belt that will fit if you remove the air-con ( its a internal water pump engine ) ??
I have seen some of the small seat engines and they look like the same belt and perhaps the correct length , or do i need to do it some other way like use a another pulley ?

I got mine from Eurocarparts. Just ring them and explain what you need. They have them in stock, mine was less than a fiver I think.

Mine hasn't got AC or PS and I'm pretty sure the belt came off a Mk3 Golf.
Mine came from GSF, but I'm sure if you ezplain what you're doing then they will be able to make and educated guess.

Ive got just the belt you need going spare and brand new! i could bring it along to the meet on sunday if you still need one. perhaps we could do a deal? im after a power steering pump pulley for my mk1
