Replacing Rocker Cover on MK3 8V

A&Q about 350Z
Q:

I've seen on ebay a nice shiny polished rocker cover which would replace my tatty flaking one and would be the first step in me tarting up my engine bay. Being a novice, Is this advisable? Do these things experience any wear and tear in their working life? What else do I need to complete the job. Here is what I think I'll need.
New gasket
Torque wrench
swear box.
Anything else or other gotchas?
Cheers,
mark.

I doubt a rocker cover wears out tbh m8.
I would advise you to get a new gasket and a new rubber bung for the breather system that plugs into the rocker cover, this costs about £1.70 from the stealers iirc.
Other than that it should be a doddle, just make sure you don't get a load of dirty into your engine somehow and you'll be fine

not sure on what the 8v engine looks like, but on mine i needed to get the inlet man. off and hence had to go buy an allen socket set

Ok so I've gone and bought it. I'll be personally cursing you if this is a disaster. (Of course I'll bask in my own glory when it all goes well :) )
Cheers Guys,

(will even try and take a few photos of before and after)
