2l bottom end in 8v digi

A&Q about 350Z
Q:

hearing alot of good things bout the 2l bottom end, just wondering how hard it would be to do it my self (complete novice), or if anyone knows someone who can do this around my area (fife) was thinking maybe get the 2e engine out an audi 80? heard thats meant to be the easiest way? any advice would be good! cheers.
A:

eeeeasy if you get a 2e out of an early MK3 Golf/Vento/Passat. Audi wont be 2e it'll be a 3a or something.
A:

get a complete 2e inc dizzy. its so easy my sister could do it
A:

seen a mk3 gti 2.0 8v rear ended, wat should i pay for the engine, its on an r plate is this a compatible engine?
A:

That'll be an AGG I think. Mostly the same, but you'll need to change pulleys over, and block up the crank sensor hole (use the crank sensor, if you get one with the engine).
Because it's a bit newer, you might have to pay extra, but I'd say no more than £150 privately ...mind you if it's in Watsons salvage it'll cost more than that.
A:

I got my 2e lump from ebay for £40, but that was a rubjonny bargain special
A:

I have never paid more the £50 for a second hand engine
