does anyone know if a ported standard throttle body is a good buy for my 16v mk2? theres one on ebay for pretty cheap and i was just wondering if it is worth getting. dont know much technical sh*t so i need some advice.

Hi m8, it want make much difference to performance, maybe slightly, every little bit helps
It has got soft throttle stop tho, which makes coming off throttle smoother,not all valvers had that

Just do it yourself, from what I can see in the pic it doesn't look like a great deal has been done anyway, the screws holding the butterflys in place are still sticking out for a start.
I did a much neater job in a couple of hours with a couple of fine files and some coarse wet and dry
You should be able to make a much smoother transition from the outer piece to the main body too with no steps as it has as standard.
Just make sure you clean it out thoroughly before re-fitting.
