Recurrent fault code on MK4

A&Q about 350Z
Q:

I recently purchased VAG-COM, due to the frequency my car needs repairing.
Anyhow, when I first checked it I got the fault code you can see below. I cleared it, assuming it was a remnant code from when the lambda failed last year.
I then checked it again yesterday, and it has returned.
The car does occasionally drive bad, like a misfire, but corrects itself after a few moments.
Could it be a wiring fault to the lambda, or perhaps the garage fitted a dodgy cheap probe?
Cheers.

FYI - I've been advised that the occasional bad running could be due to a gunked up throttle body, which I've not sorted yet.
Also whilst performing a running test using VAG-COM, and watching the lambda response, the results seem expected/healthy.

highly possible its the unit. fit a substitute and go through process again.

It might be the leads breaking down and causing a mixture fault. Had two recently at work.

I have noticed the lead connecting to the probe is twisted awkwardly. I may have a fiddle with it today and see what the outcome is...
Or do you mean the HT leads?
A:

Sorry HT leads.

EGR valve, it came and went on my ex's mk4 as a missfire, then would drop to limp home mode, then normal then finally died totaly making the car VERY hard to drive.

Check your wiring. I would imagine that its a connector job unless they fitted one of those general fit jobs in which case they would have to of spliced it on to the old cabling.
I had an issue with mine a while back. Bodged wiring gave an intermittant failure until it went all together.
Its all exposed under there to extreme enviroment, mine wasnt even sealed up / water proofed..
Guess your seeing the full voltage swing of the lambda probe most of the time?
A:

Yeah, it seems to respond nicely under load and evens back out at idle..
Hmmm. Wiring it has to be, if it's nothing else causing it.
