Does anybody know if i can swap a longitudially mounted engine sump for one from a tranverse?
Basically have BFB code engine in my golf just wondering if i can swap the sump for an AGU code one?
Any help on sump alternatives would be good aswell as it is a bit low.

The sump will swap over but you'll need a new oil pickup pipe from a traverse engine.

Fantastic does the pick up just come off its not part of the oil pump is it? Dont want to buy a new oil pump.

oh good question! in the very same boat and unsure if i needed to swap the sump over on it....
you normally do when swapping such engines, i did with the 2litre set up from an audi
