I have a G plate Golf GTI that doesn't have central locking. I thought all GTI's came with this. Any one shed some light on this?
I dont think it has been removed as it has a locking petrol cap the ignition key fits, the grommets in the door pillers and doors where the central locking pipes go through are unmarked and there is no evidence of a central locking pump being in the boot... strange

that is a bit weried mine has VW central locking. Sure your car has always been a GTI

16v did, 8v didnt..I think

Not all GTIs came with CL, it was an optional extra. Mine doesn't have it either.

To take it to another level... my Edition One didn't come with central locking! How wierd is that?!

i thought all gti's had it.. guess im wrong
ive had a couple of cars that had it, but it didnt work, folk fitting aftermarket actuators that dont fit well then chopping in loom up to splice them in didnt help the lack of function, or its just stopped working properly so they've just unplugged/removed the actuators and pump...
otherwise... its not hard to fit it...
