rattling mk2 when start up for 1st time,,,,when i start up my mk2 when motor is cold then my car rattel,,,i have a mk2 gti i checked all my mountings on the engine and it was not that ,,,,any other suggestions please let me know........

check the heat shields round your down pipe

Where is the noise coming from?
Check the exhaust too. There is a hanger that comes down and is connected to the back box by an exhaust rubber. Mine was practically falling off as the bolt had come loose and would make the most aweful rattling noise on start up.

when i sit in the car it sound like the noise come from the Fender but i checked there already,,,, but ill check the heatshield,,,,thanx guys
