Immobilisor help

A&Q about 350Z
Q:

My new car (mk2 8v) has an immobilisor, i dont like them, i know that they are for security and blah blah but i dont like them and would rather get an alternative method of security.
Is it possible to disarm it? (sorry, sounds like its a bomb!)
A:

yes you have to trace the immobilised circuits usally 2 then rejoint them how they were orignally. a good security measure i use is taking the rotor arm out
A:

Im laughing because i dont know what a rotar arm is.
Ive had immobs in other cars ive owned and i didnt like having to rush to turn the ignition on etc, sounds a piddly annoyance written down but as an everyday car it gets on my boobs
A:

I'd check with your insureres before you start ripping anything out, most of them inisist on a cat 2 immob being fitted to a higher grouped car such as a GTI
A:

I'll ask them today. I didnt have one on my old gti.
A:

It will probably say on the terms and conditions of your insurance quote wether they require one or not, if not your OK
