A&Q about 350Z
Q:
I have a recently bought a MKII Golf Ryder 1.6. She came with standard steel rims. I have recently found a set of alloys wheels for her and today when I rang the Insurance company they told me I cant put them on till I am over 25. Now I cant move eiother as my no claims bonuses are tied to this company cos I was only a named driver before I got my golf. However they did say that I can out standard MKII VW alloys on it. But I dont know where to look or what types there are? I would appreciate any info.........
thanks
A:
typical mk2 alloys consist of the pirelli 'P' pot alloys. Or basically get any alloy and get a vw center cap and put that init, and say you thought they were standard vw alloys.
A:
BBS RA, p-slots, or teardrops are the options then....former is the nicest IMO
A:
BBS RM
BBS RA
The BBS RMs of mine (top two pictures) are standard 15" by 6.5" as they came from VW. That is, they have not got wider aftermarket outers fitted. I guess for your insurance purposes you'll want to stick to standard ones.
By the way, your insurance company is a total sack of shιt.

You might find that what the insurance company meant, was that you are allowed standard fit alloys that were available from factory for your model, not any Mk2 model.
This has definitely been the case with several of my insurers in the past, when I had lesser models running on standard car insurance - and I was unable to change the wheels until the policy ran out etc.
A:
I cant believe your insurance company wont let you put "alloys" on the car. I'd be jumping ship.
A:
I'd have RM's or RA's on anyway.

i had rallye 'sebring' wheels on my 1st golf, looked well, could always go with estorils or castelletes (sp?) rather than bbs, look on ebay
