A&Q about 350Z
Q:
What size tyre would I put on a set of 17" wheels
The car has a 60mm lowering kit (60 front, 40 rear)
The arches havent been rolled
Would I need to get them rolled??

A:
Lol,
Did the arches need rolling
On a serious note....................
A:
with out a doubt, even 17 on a mk2 with 40mm would rub on full lock
A:
Havent seen that in a while!!!! Still made me p*ss myself as much as the last time it was posted.
17's look goooooood, 17's feel baaaaaaaaad. Bumpy lumpy thuddy and no turning circle. Big thumbs down from me. Old valver had 17's not lowered at all and used to rub on arch on heavy bumps and also rubbed against side of gear box on full lock.

ive got 17s and the car is lowered 60mm soon to have coilovers but the archs have been done. mine have 205/40/17 . do it!!! it looks alot better but yeh gives a bit of a bad ride.
A:
Cheers for the replys guys

Hmm, personally i don't recommend it, I had 17/205/45's on mine when I bought it, also lowered around 50mm, front and rear arches had been rolled and G60 arches fitted to accept the wheels.
However after chatting to a few of the Somerset guys I changed them for 15" steelies, it totally transformed the car, horrendous tramlining eliminated, crashy ride gone, and far more feedback/compliance, the best mod I've done in a de-mod sort of way, and as an added bonus the tyres are half the price for the same make.

My Car Is On Cups And Only Lowerd 40 But It Rubbs Theve Been Trimmed 17 To Big For Mk2 I Recon

if you are going to put 17s on a mk2 then its recomended to put 195/40/17s on to help with clearence probs but it still wont handle and only pirelli make them and there as rare as rocking horse 5hit

My first GTI had a 80mm G-max kit on it and 205/40/17s on it and i had serious trouble, arches off, big hammer and no turning circle, parallel parking was a nightmare looked good though. lol....
