I retrofitted some proper VW aero wipers to my Bora and they are far, far better than the standard sh*te, get the blades from GSF, they supply Bosch and are probably the cheapest

Yes they're the ones fitted to the new passats etc but the fitting clip is slightly different.
I got some on my mk2 golf now and they only cost me £15 and they work so much better than my old ones, alot more quiter as well

areo wippers do work very well indeed , but look out of place on older dubs

Fitted some to my mk2 today, only took 2 mins. I used the ones for the polo 6n, part number 3397009000

Wow looks good, i've dropped Central Auto Supplies a call (they've always been very cheap for batteries, plugs etc.), they have the parts available but no cost as of yet.
I've requested for an Audi A4 but should give a good comparison to garfayliu's quote above.

Picked a set up for my A4 this eve; £25 including VAT from CAS. Only problem now is that they seem to be LHD blades!
i picked the number from the start of this thread (corresponds to the list on the Bosch PDF) 3397009001, but they're the wrong hand.
anybody else had any problems when ordering these in?

Still not tried them, I didn't think that 'handedness' affects wipers as you can just flip over, unless the blades are diff lengths.

think i know the problem now... they're A531S rather than AR531S.
due to the design of the clasp:
you can only insert the wiper arm in one way. This obviously affects the way the spoiler points.
I even looked at dismantling the clasp, but the plastic outer is handed also...
back to CAS tomorrow. They do look pimp mind

so you dont need new wiper arms to fit them?its just the rubber bit u change over?i always thot it was the whole wiper arm. nice one. still dont understand why my 2003 mk4 golf never came with them.

These are a newer design Aero wiper from Bosch, before these to get Aero wipers on older VW, etc, you'd have to change the arm aswell. With the new design, they're as shown in the pictures.

They do look quite snazzy. i think from the design and the way the blade is offset that it will only suit twin wipers. Anyone know?

would look good on a single wiper as they clip to a standard arm. check out the length and match up to a pair in the table at the beginning of the post. Only problem being that you'll be buying 2...

i have an early mk2 with wrong hand drive whipers so i need left hand driver whipers anyone know the part number for them ?
