i just purchased a replacement handle for my glovebox as my old one had snapped (common fault app.) i got the mechanism with it aswell but how the hell do i get the key barrel out of the old one and pop it into the new one?? any ideas?

you'll notice on the old one, there are like 3 little teeth holding it in at the bottom of the barrel
break those off (or prize them far enough) and the lock will drop out - then just push it into the new handle and job done.
