wanting to put my arches back on?

A&Q about 350Z
Q:

HI all
well i took my arches off my MK3 valver a while ago and now decide i preferred them on
i still have the original arches sitting in the garage but what do i use to put them back on as the bolts i kinda cut the ends off them so i will need a new set of bolts
what do i use?
also thinking of getting these smoothed down and colour coded, what do you think?
A:

The arches should be held on with black coated rivets from factory, avaliable from gsf for a 20p/each IIRC. If the lip for the rivets have been rolled some people have used a glue/epoxy to stick the arch trim back on. I think a silicon sealant might work, the sort you use around the bath and would be non-permanant, but will require a day or two to dry throroughly and stick.

excellent, thanks gary
the car is coming together slowly still
A:

black "stikoflex" windscreen sealent works excellent

Don't fecking silicone them on. Silicone is the mark of the bodger. It buggers up paint and nothing gets it off (bar abuse with a DA).
A:

N90634901 part number for the rivets.

Funny you should say that, two places I spoke to regarding lowering a mk2 substantially told me the only way to go really low is to cut out the arches and silicon the trims on - I wouldn't do this personally.
