german plates

A&Q about 350Z
Q:

Ok if i go for german plates with std spacing are these still illegal? as technically its just really a pressed plate , i thought the actaul font was the same height width ect its just i think they look better than std reflective plates any views on the legality as they must be better than my current ones.

Aren't we getting this question every week now!
No. Std spacing ISNT enough, as the typeface is still wrong.

It doesn't matter how you look at it, they are illegal, end of story!
However, i've had mine on since early June on an every day car and never had any undesired attention from the Fuzz.
Just get some surrounds too, and keep your standard plates in the boot, just in case.
