A&Q about 350Z
Q:
Hi,
I'm new to the forum but would like some advice on lowering a Bora V5.
It's sitting on R32 18's but the gap between the front wheel and arch (not to mention the rear!) is big enough to fit a tractor tyre and still have no rubbing!
Some lowering is seriously needed.
However, I don't want to lose so much ride comfort that my **** is numb at my destination, so what can be done?
I have looked at all-round adjustable coilovers which seems like the best way forward. Can anyone suggest the best way to do this and products to opt for?
Ta very much!
Jimmy

the choice of collies is up to you. Many go with FK jobbies.
The important bit is to check for fouling on the d/s from the arb
Comfort is usual at expense of a sports kit, though you may find a set of matched springs/shox not so harsh from a retailer.
Recon on anything upto 70mm with min probs.
Improve the handling no ends with a rear arb too

Whats the crack with the rear ARB then? Are these fitted as aftermarket items or do VAG fit them to some models? I'd like one for my 99 Bora TDI
A:
Not standard on mk4s (except maybe r32?)
Totally transforms the rear of the car - best hundred quid you can spend!
Neuspeed and Eibach do good items.
A:
Cheers Seraph, any idea where I can get one/how hard are they to fit?
EDIT: Am i right in saying the front has an ARB as standard?
A:
Yep, std on front, 22mm iirc
I was lucky enough to get a 2nd hand neuspeed jobbie off a forum member. Fitted it in about an hour-ish
Usual mk4 outlets should have them, e.g. Awesome, BBT,c&r ect.

Excellent, early Christmas present to myself methinks
Thaks for the info mate

My '00 V5 is sitting on FK Konigsport coilovers with an FK front anti-roll bar (which is needed as keeping the standard anti-roll bar restricts you to a drop of 40-50mm).
Ride is fantastic, handling is great, car looks brilliant and you're bum (or other parts) aren't numb at the end of your journey!
If you want any info, let me know.
A:
Sorry - forgot to mention that mine has been dropped 60mm. (You will probably have driveshaft problems if you drop 70mm as it would be knocking against the arb unless you change it - the FK would be fine though).
