A&Q about 350Z
Q:
The other day the fabric headlining decided to drop down from the roof on my MK2 so yesterday I used some spray glue to stick it back up. Whilst its a reasonable job, it's not perfect so I'm hoping to give it another shot.
I noticed that the fabric headlining is stuck onto a solid board. My thinking is, it'd be loads easier to get a good finish on the headlining if I could remove this board and do it outside the car. My question is, how easy is it to remove this board?
Presumably the grab handles have to be removed but what about the sunroof area?

Same as me mate my fabric has started drooping i was unsure to use the spray adhesive as i thought the orange foamy backing (crap) which it has pealed away from might soak it up and therefore not work. I was gonna try aryoldite but was worried it might melt the lining any one else got a good product to use? Sorry im no help J lol

The spray adhesive worked well but as I said previously I didn't get a perfect finish. Around the edges have a few bubbles.
A:
you can remove the lining fairly easily, just take off any trim (handles, sun visors, the black strip by the back window etc etc..) then theres 2 or 3 plastic plugs to take out, the headlining with then come down
getting it out of the car however is another matter, as its a big sheet of polystyrene type stuff and if bent will just crack and you'll have a permanent crease in it....
if you want it to look perfect, id advise not taking it out to start with...
A:
Silly question i know, but how would they get it into the car when making it then?
A:
its possible to get it in and out in on uncreased peace, but not easy.
A:
it fits out though the windscreen, removed mine today so the car can get painted, still a 2man job to get it out in 1 pice
A:
surley if u folded the front seats down, dropped the rears a little, took the back shelf out, you could take it out of the rear on a slant could you not?
A:
it'll come out backwards in one piece

I swapped mine thru the open tailgate no problem at all!
