iam getting a wining noise from my gear box and some one said somthing about rivet at the diff is this a thing that can be do buy urself and with out the gear box coming out is a 1.8 20v t golf 2000

i doult its the diff pin if they go its normally really easy to spot by the big hole in the diff casing and gearoil all over the floor

thanks mate i fond out the problem one of the gear box mouting bots on top had broke so the engine droped 70mm down and 70mm back sorted now cheers
