Im thinking of buying a Mk4 Golf Gti Turbo but the ones around my budget have about 130k on the clock. Is this too high for a turbo charged engine? I guess that the turbo may need replacing with this kind of mileage. Has anyone had any problems with high mileage turbo`s?

If its beeen looked after, theres no reason why it shouldnt go on for plenty more
Ive known saabs(pre mk4) to go on happily for 200k with no turbo probs.
Its a risk you take with any car. The turbo went on my s3 at around 60k, but that doesnt mean they all will. Probably an anomaly.

Luckily it happened just before i bought it
But seem to remember the whole job was in region of 2k.
