Has any body used these on 1.8t 20v lump any had any success?
I have only seen them put on the intake side to stop heat soak into the intake runners but can they be used on the exhaust side to help heat from the turbo soaking in to the head?

i put one on the inlet to mine didnt notice a difference, i dont think you can get them for the exhaust

there is an arguement that the heat generated in the comb chamber has to go somewhere and that by insulating the manifolds you are raising the head temperature.
the manifolds are acting as radiators.

I would of thought that the heat from the head would be soaked up by the water cooling in the block and the head itself and the turbo and intake manifold would hold the heat as they only have air cooling.......?
