Coming to think of it, I suppose I *could* fit it this weekend. I've think I've finished messing with the engine bay of the car now (put the hydraulic pedal box in, and repairs). The engine is sitting on the garage floor and I get fed up of tripping over it.
As you do.
But... Lucy's car is in for the MOT this weekend and, fearing the worst, I've a funny feeling that I'll be doing MOT repairs on that this weekend. Most probably involving screwing a new car onto the header tank cap, or something.

Did you manage to get a belt for it Trev?, I`m going to fit the orignal BBM idler and get the trusty string out to measure up for a belt, should be doing it today rally but I can`t be bottomd!
What pulley have you decided on?, I`m still thinking 68mm but the charger will take a pasting with 7k rpm pulls, think mine makes 10psi on the 78mm so I`m not too bothered about going any smaller.

Rubbish pics of the engine going in! Will take some more as I complete the build next summer probably.
Keith: Nah not sorted out the belt yet mate. You've reminded me that I really should contact BBM again and nag them for a reply to my original email, because we never did get to find out exactly how BBM intended for us to use that belt, did we? Will contact them again tonight.

f**k the kitchen!, put my 65mm pulley back on today, world of difference! maybe getting it RR in the next couple of weeks so that should spur you on (if my injectors turn up).
Don`t know what the BBM belt routing is but I never managed to uses their belt in any configuration?

People have seen 250whp from the 2l 16vG60`s so Trev`s souldn`t be far behind. VW quoted 210bhp for the 1.8`s on a 78mm pulley..
